This is a story about Love

Before I give my review, let me give you the movie's synopsis:

Christian [Ewan McGregor], a young writer with a magical gift for poetry, defies his bourgeois father by moving to the bohemian underworld of Montmartre, Paris. He is taken in by the absinthe- soaked artist Toulouse- Lautrec, whose party- hard life centres around the Moulin Rouge, a world of sex, drugs, electricity & the shocking Can-Can. Christian falls into a passionate but ultimately doomed love affair with Satine, the Sparkling Diamond [Nicole Kidman], the most beautiful courtesan in Paris & star of the Moulin Rouge.

I have watched this movie 1,473,978 times. Okay, im just joking ;) Moulin Rouge is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. The movie is absoultely BRILLIANT! The settings, the plot, the songs, the dances and even the actors were perfectly chosen! This love story is not just any other love story, it's about love overcoming all obstacles. It is a mix of comedy, adventure and of course romance. In the movie, the Duke learns that Satine is having a relationship with Christian. So, he threatens Satine that he will kill Christian if Satine chooses Christian over him. In order to save Christian from death, she accepts Duke's offer to have a one night stand with him. Christian, who also knows about the death threat and of course the one night stand goes to the meeting place of Satine and the Duke to save Satine from rape. I don't wanna spoil you guys, but the ending really made me cry. Indeed, Love is the greatest thing of all.
