As soon as I heard this song, it immediately caught my attention. Besides Pink's first single "Stupid Girls" I think this song has more meaning to it. The lyrics and the video were great!
So the video is about two young couples in a carnival. They may seem like a very happy couple but beneath those happy moments is a dark secret. The girl's boyfriend is actually taking heroin. There was this part where the girl couldn't find her boyfriend and then she went into this dark area in the carnival and saw her boyfriend taking heroin. She decided to end their relationship but she gave something in return..an necklace. The necklace symbolizes that even though it's over between them, the memories will be there to stay and she'll cherish every moment she had with him.
I think it was a smart move that the girl ended her relationship with her boyfriend, even though it hurt the both of them. Sometimes, the best way is to avoid people especially when you know the person. I have to give this 5 stars. Pink has done brilliant :)
